Our commitment to sustainability is strengthened by the collaboration of various committees, teams and regular meetings. Through a structured and collaborative approach, we ensure that the topic of sustainability is anchored in all areas of our organisation and is continuously driven forward. Together, they contribute to effectively achieving our sustainability goals. Some of these meetings take place centrally on site, some online and some hybrid. We are thus perfectly coordinated, especially when it comes to supra-regional and international dialogue. An excerpt of the existing committees and meetings:
Occupational Safety and Health Committee (ASA)
This committee, which is also required by law in Germany, is made up of employer/employee representatives and specialised departments. The tasks of the ASA include matters relating to occupational health and safety and accident prevention, as well as all issues relating to the safety and well-being of employees in the workplace.
Company Reintegration (BEM)
In order to enable employees to return to work after a long period of illness without any problems and in an acceptable manner, BEM meetings are offered in Germany, for example, and carried out if accepted. These discussions provide space for individual needs and enable suitable measures to be developed together.
Company Meetings / Townhall Meetings
In cooperation between employer and employee representatives, information on past, current and upcoming topics is shared with the workforce. Every employee is encouraged to ask questions or provide input.
Diversity Team
Our team is dedicated to promoting inclusion and diversity in our company and is committed to visibility and representation, justice and equality, as well as appreciation and respect. The team is continuously working on various initiatives to achieve these goals.
HSE Committee (Health Safety Environment)
These cross-national meetings take place approximately every month. At these meetings, experiences (both positive and negative) are exchanged on the subject of occupational safety and environmental protection and an attempt is always made to define the benchmark as a company standard.
Innovation Committee
These are interdisciplinary teams that focus on the development of new, sustainable products or services and regularly exchange ideas.
Sustainability Team
This team develops, defines and monitors strategies and targets for sustainability. It consists of members from Environmental Management (E), Human Resources (S), Legal (G) and the responsible Executive Board department. It meets four times a year or at short notice if required.
Environment and Energy Team
The team is made up of representatives from departments/areas that have a significant influence on energy consumption and the environment (Executive Board, Global Operation, Purchasing, Service, Fleet, Controlling, Engineering, Product Unit, Works Council, Integrated Management Systems). It meets four times a year and is the steering committee for initiating new projects, monitoring ongoing projects and acting as an escalation and decision-making body for the Energy Officer and the Environmental Officer. It also evaluates the pre-qualified ideas and derives tasks. The members are multipliers in the specialist departments and role models on the subject of energy and the environment.
Improvement Suggestion Committee
Representatives from various departments (proposal-related) sit on this monthly committee under the leadership of the Integrated Management Systems department. Suggestions for improvement submitted by employees are discussed and evaluated and, if necessary, their implementation is initiated.
