WashTec: Most sucessful fiscal year so far - preliminary results show double digit-growth in sales and a nearly doubled EBIT

- Group revenue increased from EUR 302.6m to EUR 340.9m

- EBITDA developed from EUR 28.6m to EUR 46.1m

- EBIT nearly doubled to EUR 36.5m (prior year EUR 18.4m)

Augsburg, February 03, 2016 - WashTec Group - the leading supplier of innovative solutions for carwash worldwide - was able to grow revenues, as already forecasted in 2015, by 12.7 % to EUR 340.9m (prior year EUR 302.6m) at a disproportionally higher EBIT increase according to preliminary results. Adjusted for exchange rate effects, revenues increased by 9.9 % compared to the prior year. Preliminary earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were at EUR 46.1m (prior year: EUR 28.6m). Preliminary earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) were at EUR 36.5m (prior year: EUR 18.4m) and thus could nearly be doubled. This equals an EBIT margin of 10.7% (prior year 6.1%). The positive development results from the good acceptance of innovations, further intensification of sales activities and a positive economic environment in the industry. This development affected all product segments and regions.
The order backlog of WashTec Group was at the level of the high prior year's value in the biggest segment Core Europe and above prior year in other segments. With 1,689 employees as of the end of December, the number of employees increased by 25 employees because of investments in sales-related areas.

Despite a payment of a high dividend, a special dividend and the share buyback program totaled EUR 35.7m, net financial debt (net bank debt plus long- and short-term finance leasing) was at EUR 1.9m by the end of the year (prior year: net financial liquidity of EUR 9.8m). According to preliminary results the equity ratio has been reduced from 48.9 % to about 42 % due to the above described measures.
